On May 13th 1999, high school Alex Browning has a premonition that the Volée Flight 180 will explode on its way to Paris France departing from the JFK Airport in Mt. Abraham ,New York. Shortly after Alex takes his seat fellow high school students
Blake Dreyer and Christa Marsh kindly ask him to switch seats, so that they can sit together. Alex looks up and sees his friend Tod Waggener, gesturing not to. Ignoring, his friend Alex agrees to get up and switch seats, where he is forced to sit next to his now angry friend. Then, out of nowhere, the tray in front Alex breaks, surprised Alex pulls out the screw. The plane then takes off ,leaving the airport behind, almost instantly beginning to rattle and shake in the air. Alex begins to get very concerned even though, the shaking stopped almost as quickly as it started ,but then a few seconds later, the shaking returns ,more violently and rapidly then it was the first time and oxygen masks drop out in front of the passengers. One of the pumps on the plane suddenly started to leak fluids causing the cabin pressure to drop, setting off a spark, and causing the fuel pump to combust. One side of the plane blew off completely and 3 of the students get violently sucked out of the plane, where they very quickly perished. Tod Waggener was then knocked out by a radio ,flying towards his head. The side of the plane, then blows up a second time, and a male passenger near the back is sucked out of the plane ,almost immediately followed by Molly Harper ,who was sucked out as well and then gets bisected on the wing. After her boyfriend fails to save her. The plane, then explodes and Alex gets boiled to death ,followed by another fellow student Sam. A catastrophic explosion was started by a fire within the fuel pump of the plane .Every passenger on the plane by that time was deceased, but then a frightened Alex Browning awakes from his premonition. Afterwards everything in the premonition begins to come true. Alex then looks over and sees Blake and Christa ,who ask him to switch seats ,panicked, Alex jumps out of seat and runs to join Tod, when he notices the broken tray. Terrified by this time, Alex shouts that everyone should get off the plane because it will explode. Then a hostile Carter Horton tries to beat Alex up ,but then Alex, Carter , Carter's girlfriend Terry, Billy Hitchcock and Alex's teacher Mrs. Lewton are then forced to get off the plane. After they leave, Tod's brother, George tells him, he should get off and keep an eye on Alex. Tod is then followed by Clear Rivers. Then another passenger, Sam Lawton overhears the flight attendant tell another passenger about how some kid had a vision, when the the plane engine explodes for real. The total death toll of Flight 180 was 287 passengers.
After, the explosion the remaining survivors began to die 1 by 1 in the order that they were seated on the plane.
The three men stopped reading and turned to look at each other, questioning looks on every one of their faces. "Does…does this mean that everyone who got off the bus today is going to die?", Billie asked in a sad voice, shaking like a nervous wreck as tears were starting to form in his green eyes. Mike looked at Billie with a sad expression on his face as well "To… tell you the truth, Bee_J ,I'm not really sure", he replied honestly casting his eyes downward ,as if he were disappointed with the fact that he couldn't exactly give Billie a straight answer. The oldest of the three just looked over at his taller ,younger friend and nodded, though inside he was freaking out and was about to cry. He seriously couldn't imagine anything like this happening in real life, it was as if were just some crazy nightmare, that he was waiting to awake from.
"I'm sure everything will be just fine", Tre said reassuringly ,as he lightly slapped Mike on the arm, as if to tell him to lie to Billie ,just to make him feel better. "Yeah, Tre's right", Mike said quickly trying to cover up the previous answer he gave Billie "pretty soon this will all be over…and everything will be back to normal" he added. Billie just looked over and sighed. "I really hope you guys are right." he said trying to force a smile but failing miserably. "Don't worry ,Billie!!!", both Mike and Tre shouted in unison "everything WILL be ok" The older of the three glanced up and gave a small smile, glad that his friends were there to comfort him when he really needed it.
"Let's forget all about this and watch a little tv" Tre suggested grabbing the remote and turning the switch on before Billie and Mike even had the chance to respond. As soon as the tv flicked on…the Berlin news reporter started talking about the tour bus tragedy that occurred earlier. Even the headline on the news said TRAGEDY TODAY. Billie looked over at his friends, his glance telling them everything they needed to know. Tre quickly turned off the television. "Guess watching tv wasn't such a good idea", he commented giving an apologetic smile. Just as Billie was about to answer…there was a knock on the door...
